New Quay

New Quay is an old fishing village that springs to life in summer, it becomes a bustling town with plenty to do, it boasts clean safe sandy beaches, watersports, sea fishing trips, wildlife/dolphin viewing boat trips, Coastal path walking or simply sitting and enjoying the sea, sand and views. It is an excellent base from which to tour north, mid and south Wales with their diverse attractions. Beach Fishing in New Quay and nearby Cwmtydu are excellent places for Bass. Trout pools are also close by for the keen anglers.

Shops

There are two small supermarkets in New Quay (larger shops available in Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Cardigan and Lampeter). It has several pubs, restaurants, and takeaways.

Walking

Pen y Cae is adjacent to the Ceredigion coastal path (10 minutes walk away), where numerous bird varieties can be seen, Red Kites, Buzzards and rare Choughs to name a few as well as grey seals and maybe even bottle nose dolphins. For the more adventurous the local beaches below the cliffs have both rock pools and sand and often provide a secluded place to enjoy the coast. There is a network of paths and bridleways around the area that can be a long or short walk, with ponds, streams, waterfalls, stunning views, wildlife and sunsets to be seen and enjoyed at all times of the year.
